I was at Macworld in San Francisco today. I’m not going to go into too much detail lest I delulzify someone else’s Amazing Adventure of Flak involving this day, but I feel like I should offer some cautionary words to any potential buyers of the so-called Macbook Air: Never try to take that thing on an airplane with you. The TSA will confiscate it. You can cut someone with it. It is a weapon.

So as some of you might know, I went ahead and bought AIR Volume One from ADV back in August. I never got around to watching it, though I did rip it. Just now, I tried watching episode one… dubbed, no less.

Aug 150 Haiku — AIR, the quasi-AMV

Thanks to KCG’s emo poetry thread, I have created another video.
There’s the embedded YouTube video, a link to the YouTube video on YouTube, and then a download link for a version with 4 times the resolution, you know—for people who like reading.
More info on the vid can be found at its YouTube page.

And remember kids, I don’t farm bandwidth. Please don’t replicate the above DDL link on other sites.

I actually finished this a while ago, but YouT refused to process the video I uploaded. I only just now uploaded a different file, and it’s up now, albeit in terribly hideous quality. Anyway, this is just a weak 1.5 minute AMV of AIR footage set to Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. Enjoy, don’t enjoy, whatever—I made this for the fun of it and I’m satisfied with how it turned out. By the by, [here] is the forum thread on the topic. It has some fun posts, like the one about this Japanese guy who blogged the preview for the AMV.

Also, because Alar requested it earlier, and because the web version looks like crap, I’ve uploaded a higher quality version of the full AMV. It’s an mp4, and while it doesn’t seem to want to open in Quicktime or iTunes, it runs fine in mplayer and VLC and probably several other players. Download or don’t as you like, I just ask that you don’t reproduce this link elsewhere. Unlike Gendou, I do not have access to bandwidth groves.
