Random dude with a weird hat. And weirder hands. Yeah. Also, as you can see, the base for the site’s logo.

  1. How exactly did you do the whole layers thing again? Give a poor soul some advice on making colorings look better. He is oblivious to how it works.

Oh, and you already know I think it looks good.

  2. One of your best, in my opinion.

  3. Ok, you have your sketch.
Make a new layer. Make its mode ‘overlay’.
Choose a brush, a size, and a color. Draw over your desired area.
Repeat for the next area you wish, keep each area in its own layer for the sake of erasing. THis way you can erase bits of an area’s color without affecting the drawing or the other layers.
Also, overlay makes it so that the color is merely put onto the sketch lines already there.
Note: on white, or light gray, and such, overlay colors will show white. Color only shows on dark surfaces, with overlay.

  4. Is this scanned? Because if it’s not, you did an excellent job editing your drawing to look as if it was. You never told me about your ‘hat’ projects et al, haha. Anyways, this drawing has nice feeling added to it and the pose the character brings. The coloring is well crafted around, and the use of the Overlay blending really makes a large difference.

  5. Yup, this is indeed one of your best thus far, and the first one of you I can think of being collored in photoshop. The figure has an alien feel to it, but proportions all seem to be in order. Good one, Flak!

  7. Oo, pretty. I like it. I don’t like fat swords, but that’s just my problem (along with never posting a 100% positive message). My favorite out of the drawings I ‘ve looked at so far.
