So as you may have noticed if you are a friend of mine on Facebook, I was accepted into the Diablo III beta test yesterday. I played a bit of it this morning (and therefore was late to work) and it is so wonderful. Female barbarian is mai waifu.

KCG: congrats, and nice to see you're not so engrossed in the game that you can still post here. As for waifus, yeah, some people get, you know, body pillows and shit. Crazy world out there!

TNH: just because you finally know what condoms look like, don't make every thread about your avatar :P

If you post here at work, might as well by playing D3 at work!

Nah that's cool. Sides it's just the beta; I'd wear it out too quickly if I played nonstop.

So far, yes. I've been smashing zombies like nobody's business, and chatting it up with some NPCs. Thus far it has very strong "Diablo II but everything is better" vibes, which is to be expected from the next game in the series. You don't have to pick up gold manually anymore; just moving over it picks it up. I am very much looking forward to finishing up the beta run with Atalanta (my female barbarian) and trying out the other dudes and dudettes. Next on my itinerary is the wizard.

I believe he mentioned that it was fun when he called it wonderful.

I am definitely going to be enjoying the Sorceress... I decided that if I got into the Beta, I wouldn't play it that much to simply preserve the excitement for the real game.

I always knew. I just didn't know what it looked like AFTER you take it out of the plastic wrap. Always thought it's a circle you put on, didn't know the condom itself shaped like a penis to begin with. i was highly disturbed seeing it. i rather like the older pre-unwrapped look. i think condoms are ugly.

then again, it's for practical purposes i suppose. i highly doubt i will be like flak, i'll have no use for it.

going to live my life like Alar, in a bathtub and all. (that's if i had one)

(expecting alar to self-destruct, let's see if it gets fulfilled.)

Correct. There are male and female versions of all five classes. To review, they are as follow:

Barbarian

Demon Hunter

Monk

Witch Doctor

Wizard

Has there ever been a video game where sex did have a mechanical effect? Best as I can tell, all it changes is the character model and the voice.

Female Wizard = Sorceress, or Magi, or whatever you want to call it. Wizard just seems like a male title, so I don't like calling the female version of the Wizard a Wizard.

They are wizards. Wizard has a specific meaning in Diablo. Sorcerers are the practiced and stable members of the mage clans, while wizards are irresponsible rebels to the established order. Get over it.

Unfortunately Diablo III will require an Internet connection at all times; not just when you're multiplaying.
