Read the spoiler even though I shouldn't have: that actually occurred to me on my own. I must be way too good at recognizing story elements.

It becomes more obvious as you keep playing through. Personally I liked it, as it added some more depth to those side characters.

Gotten three of the waifus so far; Emi, Shizune, and Lilly. I think the Emi route might be my favorite. Not specifically because of Emi herself, but I like the guy Hisao becomes on her route. He takes control of his health and I liked that he became the one-man science club as well. Also I think her's was the most solidly written route thus far. Running is great.

Shizune was probably the most interesting as a person, though the relationship with her felt a lot more casual. The fact that they had sex at all seemed almost out of place.

Lilly's route was alright, but nothing spectacular. Definitely less funny than the former two as well.

At this point I'm just using a spoiler-free walkthrough to unlock all the content, though I'm still reading all the unread material of course, while using Skip Mode to get through the stuff I've already read. Working on Hanako now; after the two sensory-deprived waifus she's an interesting change of pace. Saving Rin for last because I think she might be the most interesting.

PS: DAT KENJI WITHOUT CLASSES SCENE!

Alright, so I got 100% completion, and after the barrage of feels and bad explanations from Rin, as well as the slow collection of bad endings, I've come to the conclusion that the Shizune route was probably my overall favorite. It's nice having a fairly uncomplicated relationship as opposed to the grim uncertainties that constantly plague Hisao on the other routes. I like that the goal in that one wasn't to play therapist to her so much as help her fix her friendship with Misha. I think I'll read it again.

I still feel like there should've been a proper Misha route, where you can better get to know her/romance her without ruining things for everyone. Of course, if they'd extended it to her, they might as well extend it to Akira, Kenji, and the Librarian.
