Another note; the word 'okay' has now been replaced with the word 'hokage'. An example is that someone falls off the Empire State Building and lands right in front of you, and you yell "OMG ARE YOU HOKAGE!?" and they are like "I'm hokage, but my shoes are ruined!"

Incorrect. The words have not switched places. Rather, hokage has replaced okay, but it also keeps its other meaning. Hokage?

TheNewHorde (5:23:35 PM): yes
TheNewHorde (5:23:47 PM): but i think nothing's changed
TheNewHorde (5:24:59 PM): rough day
gemff6 (5:25:20 PM): :S
gemff6 (5:25:23 PM): dude
gemff6 (5:25:36 PM): that sucks. i'm sorry to hear about it.
gemff6 (5:25:41 PM): i dont' know what else i can say
TheNewHorde (5:25:46 PM): yeah, i know
gemff6 (5:25:50 PM): if you want to talk about how you feel, i'm here to listen
gemff6 (5:25:53 PM): :|
TheNewHorde (5:25:54 PM): confused inside all day u know
TheNewHorde (5:26:02 PM): has she found her meaning in life yet?
TheNewHorde (5:26:05 PM): to just die like this
TheNewHorde (5:26:08 PM): worst thing is
TheNewHorde (5:26:15 PM): today life went on as usual
TheNewHorde (5:26:21 PM): everyone still joked, laugh, chatted
TheNewHorde (5:26:24 PM): like if nothing's happened
TheNewHorde (5:26:30 PM): i look at the kids around me
TheNewHorde (5:26:34 PM): nothing's changed
TheNewHorde (5:26:45 PM): and i felt sad, but i couldn't shed a tear
gemff6 (5:26:45 PM): there's not a whole lot you can do unfortunately
TheNewHorde (5:26:50 PM): even kids from the same homeroom as i
gemff6 (5:26:56 PM): i'm like that too. i never cry about people who die
TheNewHorde (5:26:56 PM): they didn't even seem fazed
gemff6 (5:27:05 PM): we all try to tune it out, i think
TheNewHorde (5:27:09 PM): i can't cry at all, i haven't cried for many years now
gemff6 (5:27:15 PM): i cry for aria
gemff6 (5:27:20 PM): and i cry when my dad is mean :S
TheNewHorde (5:27:24 PM): i just kept jotting and jotting down my thoughts and complains on a paper
TheNewHorde (5:27:35 PM): in the end, i gave it to the girl i liked and rarely talked to
TheNewHorde (5:27:38 PM): it was quite random
TheNewHorde (5:27:42 PM): but i did it
TheNewHorde (5:27:49 PM): i think it might've been a bad move, but i'm not sure
TheNewHorde (5:27:55 PM): i was confused today
TheNewHorde (5:27:58 PM): did some random things
gemff6 (5:28:05 PM): it's understandable
TheNewHorde (5:28:11 PM): what surprised me, in her neat and beautiful handwriting
TheNewHorde (5:28:18 PM): she wrote a whole page back
TheNewHorde (5:28:32 PM): i guess that's what u expect from a rank 1 GPA student
TheNewHorde (5:28:37 PM): would u like to hear what she wrote?
gemff6 (5:28:57 PM): what?
TheNewHorde (5:29:00 PM): hmm... this is quite long to type
gemff6 (5:29:10 PM): you can summarize
TheNewHorde (5:29:41 PM): Jeff, I know how you feel. mrs. Scuibba was a really great person, and I'm not just saying that either. I had her for Chemistry 10th grade. She always gave us a ton of work and we got frustrated with her class sometimes, but we really liked her as a person.
gemff6 (5:30:13 PM): mmm
gemff6 (5:30:19 PM): sounds like the best kind of teacher
TheNewHorde (5:30:39 PM): She was always happy and bubbly, she always had her funny phrases like "shun tah!" and "pooh bear". She had a difficult life, but she still managed a smile every day. a lot of people didn't know her very well, so it's hard for them to be sad, they're not missing her since they never knew her.
gemff6 (5:31:12 PM): *is listening to A Most Peculiar Man by Simon & Garfunkel*
TheNewHorde (5:31:23 PM): Some people are sad, but they might not show it. Maybe it hasn't hit them yet. Sometimes it takes a while for something like a death to sink in. People are thinking about the test they have next period, or what they're getting at the craft fair, or what they're doing after school.
TheNewHorde (5:32:28 PM): You're right, people do seem heartless. Death in our society is such a touchy subject, people rarely talk about it and don't know how to deal with it when it happens even though it happens to everyone. And I know you and I wish everyone could at least pretend to be sad, but people just have so much else on their minds.
TheNewHorde (5:33:02 PM): But I know Mrs. Scuibba wouldn't have wanted us to be sad. Her husband died many years ago, and now she's with him, whereever that is.
TheNewHorde (5:33:35 PM): Of course there would be people to shed a tear for you Jeff. there are a lot of people that care about you and think of you more than just a "monkey". What you do determines how people see you.
gemff6 (5:34:14 PM): if that last bit is in response to you asking about "how would people react to my death" then yeah
gemff6 (5:34:18 PM): of course
gemff6 (5:34:19 PM): we'd be sad
TheNewHorde (5:34:36 PM): You are funny and people like that about you, but if you want people to see you as more than that, then show them you're more than that. I know you're so much more than just a funny guy, show other people the side I know.
TheNewHorde (5:34:57 PM): Well, I hopes this helps, and I really will miss Mrs. Sciubba, she was a great person and I won't forget her.
TheNewHorde (5:35:27 PM): that was the letter. she really is a very nice girl, and we've only have had very few conversations.
gemff6 (5:35:28 PM): sounds like a sweet girl
TheNewHorde (5:37:01 PM): one of a kind, truly. ranked 1 in the school, out on competition for orchestra all the time, track star (is out at competition today right now), and a very kind hearted person. it's surprising a random asian kid who didn't even knew her very well suddenly hand her a random note of complain about people around him, and she took it and wrote such a neat and wonderful reply back. truly one of a kind
TheNewHorde (5:37:45 PM): and she wasn't even creeped out when i just randomly saw her and gave her that. at least she didn't shown it
TheNewHorde (5:37:56 PM): i wish i have her built up mentality
TheNewHorde (5:40:10 PM): hey Flak?
gemff6 (5:40:22 PM): yeah?
TheNewHorde (5:40:37 PM): you think I can just post this on the forum for people? it was random of me just to write that one single post. i think this would elaborate it much more
gemff6 (5:40:48 PM): you could post it if you want to
gemff6 (5:40:56 PM): shard might post something incredibly emotionless in response
gemff6 (5:40:59 PM): i don't know if you want that
gemff6 (5:41:01 PM): but go ahead
TheNewHorde (5:41:28 PM): i'll be honest, i never knew miss sciubba well, i only see her in the morning during homeroom. but she strikes me as the kind hearted lady who says good morning to kids every day. it's not fair sometimes for this to happen.
TheNewHorde (5:41:45 PM): but i think whatever Shard and KCG may say, it won't faze me.

I read it. So one of your teachers died, TNH? I'm sorry to hear about that. It's always upsetting when someone in our lives dies, especially if we spend a lot of time around them. Even if you're not very close to that person, it can be deeply troubling and disturbing. I hope you can cope with this alright, man. We're here for ya.

I'm glad you managed to find support, events like this are so hard to deal with if you don't have anyone to talk to.

...reminds me of when I was signing up for my first college classes. I opened my email to write some notes about classes to myself, found out someone I knew had died. Started crying and left the orientation. Didn't feel any better until I talked about it with someone.

I remember on the last day of school in my Junior year, some popular guy died. The teachers put up giant chunks of paper on the wall to write meaningless messages to him.

Naturally, some kids still joked about it.

Well it's either that or hurl pity at TheNewHorde, which is all kinds of cruelty and totally unnecessary anyway.

If I'm going to be a jerk no matter what I do, I'd rather be only perceived as being horrible, as opposed to being actually horrible.

I suppose I could try empathy, but the only time I've ever been moved emotionally over losing something was when I got rid of my SNES, Sega Genesis, and aaaalll the games I had for them. If I tried that people would go "WTF Black Shard, people are totally different from games you asshole!" and then I'd say "Not really" and then Flak would ban me except not because he's too much of a softy for that.

So I'm sticking with the unemotional stuff I do. It's my best option.

I wasn't saying that it would be wrong of you to do that. Also, there's a third option, which is to say nothing. In any event, I was just warning TNH of something that idon'tknowmaybeit'llseeminsensitive. *shrugs* He was asking for my thoughts on his posting this, anyway.

Didn't know he'd post the IM logs, but I guess that's how we roll here.
