Quill Quest Discussion

Unread postby KingCrazyGenius on Thu Aug 08, 2013 2:26 pm

Unread postby KingCrazyGenius » Thu Aug 08, 2013 2:26 pm

A thread for discussing .q 's latest and greatest adventure game.

What's going on? Who is Quill? Will the art continue to suck in a non-ironic way, or will it eventually transition to sucking ironically? Does KCG have a plot in mind or is he just letting the magic flow?

These are the sorts of questions that should be taking place here.

Maybe the sky in the Quill universe isn't suject to Rayleigh scattering?
The real question here is, does or doesn't Quill wear pants and/or shoes?

Watch the quest dies because everyone is waiting on Karamazov to post and he never does.

Sounds like a prompt. If nobody has taken charge of Quill's brainmatter by tonight I'll post something.

How is this intended to work, actually? Did you intend to draw out everyone's commands as you did the first time, or would you normaly choose wichever suited your fancy the most and after each drawing everyone should give new commands whilst the old ones are disregarded? You've already pointed out you'd rather not have multiple commands given. Does this mean by one person or in general between drawings? Would you rather have people wait for the previous command to be drawn before posting new ones? And in regards to the current situation, how do you feel about the same person taking charge several times in que?

What I didn't want was multiple commands given by a single person. Multiple commands from multiple people are fine. In most cases they wouldn't be contradictory so I would go ahead and draw both. In the cases where they are, I would perform dark rites to determine which had more literary weight.

The vagaries of MSPaint JPG artifacts have given Quill an aura of heroism! What a development!

Future updates will have to involve less shittiness in the drawing. Quill's increased attention will no doubt lead to his or her being rendered in a less abstract manner.

I was wrestling bearfish and couldn't post.

Also, starting tomorrow I'll be wrestling bearmeese in Alaska for a little over a week so don't wait for me.

ALASKA!

Hope it doesn't rain the whole time for you like it did for me. Only sunny days I had were the day I arrived and the day I left. Didn't wrestle any bearfish or anything, but I did encounter a disturbing number of ravens. And maybe some crows.

EDIT: I could definitely see myself living in Alaska, but it would have to be in Juneau or some other city an appreciable distance from Anchorage, because I need a reason not to visit my great uncle on a regular basis. Not just because he's old and awful, but he's half-deaf and that's just the worst thing for a fairly soft-spoken guy like myself.

Only rained some evenings so far, so it hasn't bothered us. Crazy beautiful place. It's not bearfish season but visited a reindeer / elk / moose farm, rode a horse, glimpsed a wild moose. Living here would be interesting, but the dark winters would probably drive me away. (Or even the bright summers, really; it takes getting used to). Plus everything is even more expensive than the bay area because it needs to be transported so far.

Lets all bask in the wonder that is my first attempt at a human hand. Fingers are way too short.

SPOILERS: Quill is human or at least what passes as human in this fantasy universe.

Roger on the spoilers, good to know :)
The fingers aren't necessarily too short, but the thumb should start closer to the base of the hand.
