Illustration of the spheres of the Elementalists from For the Pen. The outer blue ring is the Sphere of Influence, the red orb is the Sphere of Control, and the white figure is the Sphere of Self.

Comments on the piece: This sort of just… happened. No real other explanations of what I did with it. Shapes in Graphic Converter X and effects done in Adobe Photoshop 7.

  2. Ok… here goes :)

    I made the little white guy in Graphic Converter using shapes. Then I made two empty circles, one red and one blue, around him.

    I then opened it up in Photoshop, used 3D transform to turn the figure+red circle into an orb. I colored in the resulting gray space with red. Then I used smoothing+gloss effects on the orbs, blurred the figure, and Lens Flared it. :)
