Rest assured that forum maintenance is still under way. Flak has made a lot of progress this weekend, and it looks like everything should be up sometime this week. Hang in there!

Well, today has been full of surprises and happiness. I’d like to give you all a better reason than this other than my going on about how much things suck, but today has given me several very good reasons to do so. Shall I go on? I believe I shall.

Flak EDIT: The forums are up in the state they were before this message was posted as of 17:20 PST 12/13/07. This is not to say we had a great success… this is to say that I have restored them to their former state. The installation of the new software went smoothly but the conversion failed for mysterious reasons. As godaddy apparently doesn’t see fit to keep error logs, I can’t figure out what the problem is. As I don’t know what the problem is, the phpbb folks can’t help me much. The forums may go down any time as I seek to get phpBB3 working, but… for now, we’re still on the old software. Yes, you can post, and everything.

OP: You’ve probably all noticed that the forums are down. Flak is currently doing some upgrade work and so they’ll have to be down for a little while. Hopefully they’ll be up tomorrow, but if not tomorrow, this weekend. I have his reassurances that he’ll be working on it very soon.

Please don’t leave us!

Whether or not any of the following information is interesting to anyone who reads this isn’t important. It was mentioned in here that we could post up blogs. While I more or less already know this, I hadn’t thought much of it in the past, so here we go! Here’s an update on my life.

First of all, I’ll give you a (very) quick explanation of my family. I have two parents, both married, and an older sister. We moved to [where we live] back before I entered the third grade. I graduated high school during May of this year. Do the math.

We moved out here because my mom had the prospect of a good job. My dad was forced to take a job he’s never really liked, but he did it because he thought it was going to be best for us. She quit the job a couple of years later because it wasn’t going anywhere. From then on, she bounced back and forth between jobs, hardly finding anything that lasted more than a year or paid her for her experience, qualifications, and hard work. That and she never got the right benefits. She moved two hours away at the beginning of October for a better paying job with benefits.

My sister is five years older than I am and moved out of the house a few years ago. She lives about an hour and a half away now and has a boyfriend in the Marines. She’s probably going to marry this guy. Right now she’s attending college and working at… Lowe’s, I think?

My dad, who had heart surgery earlier this year, is back at his job and probably still doesn’t like it.

I’m taking a course at the local vocational school, hoping to get several certificates and earn 30 college credit hours. Then I want to get a job and/or finish getting my Associates. The work isn’t very difficult, but I still have to wonder whether or not I can be successful at this in the future. I’ve still yet to truly figure out if going into computer maintenance/networking/programming is what I really want to do with my life, or if I can even do it.

Well, that turned out to be more of a summary of some parts of my life. Oh well.

I may continue this in the future. Or not.

I’d like to direct everyone’s attention to the Picture Gallery section of this page. It will be continually updated as more pictures are made, and some further work will most likely be done to make it look better.
