7/13/09 Humbert – 2

As I said on Friday, there was going to be more.

Humbert stuffed his arm down his teddy bear’s throat and retrieved his head. After a thorough rinsing, it was good for wearing again, and he redonned it. He was ready to continue working on his tunnel to outer space, but he was more ready to get revenge on that bear.

“I’m going to get you good,” he threatened, somewhat surprised by the fact that his vocal chords had reattached so nicely.

The teddy bear grinned a bloody grin back at the tunneler.

“Are you mocking me?” asked Humbert.

The teddy bear continue grinning.

Humbert kicked it in the stomach, sending it flying across his small one-room apartment. The teddy bear collapsed in the corner and Humbert stormed out of the room, infuriated that he could not pay his stuffed animal back in kind for the damage it had dealt him. But hell, the bear was filthy; he wasn’t going to take a bite out of it.

“Inadequate revenge taken,” Humbert noted, and then he went outside to finish what he had started.

The moral of the story is that you should not fixate on revenge for long.
