And now for something completely different. Henceforth I shall post these “miniatures” three times a week: a paragraph, some words and thoughts intertwined. Enjoy!

He was a weird guy. Would carry a thesaurus on a chain around his neck, a small black volume. Called it his psalter. I wondered if this was some statement about religion. I wondered if this was some statement, period. I could never tell, with him. He was bad at being direct. Two in the morning, draped in sheets, I’d whisper, “I love you.” He’d lift his head to free his arm, reach for the the nightstand, produce his “psalter.” Flip to “lo-.” Tell me he cared deeply for me. When I said good-bye, he thumbed to “wh-” and the door slammed in his face before he could ask “how come.”

As for Night Switch, I’ve been thinking about how to get back into it, but right now I’ve bigger fish to fry (Tundra of Heroes, and some real life SrsFknBzn).
