11/2/08 Joe's Office Woes 01

A new series here at Dreams of the Quill, Joe’s Office Woes is a 4-panel comic that will ultimately deal with all the troubles Joe has adjusting to his new team mates. This first one is just an adaptation of a scene that occurs in Night Switch 06.04. Future installments will feature new material and will hopefully be, well, funny. But we shall see.

Four years in the future, in a quiet Amtrak office in Queens…

  1. alright, fuck this. so you CAN draw but you just refuse to. i couldn’t even draw a fucking 4 panel comic and u tell me i’m the better artist? oh fuck this man, way to push my self-esteen up and then just knock it back down just like this.

    I’m uh, sorry that this hurt you? Second panel is a trace of a photograph, anyway. And Dan looks like crap. Also, there’s a mistake in one of the panels (can you find it). As for the cubicles, it was just a bit of perspective work with a single vanishing point. It’s not such a big deal…

  3. Joe has glassed and a goatee, a weird eye-burning green UI, and an IRC client that lies to him about how many roommates he has?
    And the only thing adding any color to his environment - something even the well-intentioned by horrendously fugly Dan fails at - is a motivational poster about cosplay.
    No wonder he prefers having the lights off…
    At least his chair has a head support. I was expecting it to be junkier, the last bastion of the now-illegal four-wheeled seats that used to kill white-collar drones back in the eighties.
