11/5/07 alar update~ [11/05/07]

Whether or not any of the following information is interesting to anyone who reads this isn’t important. It was mentioned in here that we could post up blogs. While I more or less already know this, I hadn’t thought much of it in the past, so here we go! Here’s an update on my life.

First of all, I’ll give you a (very) quick explanation of my family. I have two parents, both married, and an older sister. We moved to [where we live] back before I entered the third grade. I graduated high school during May of this year. Do the math.

We moved out here because my mom had the prospect of a good job. My dad was forced to take a job he’s never really liked, but he did it because he thought it was going to be best for us. She quit the job a couple of years later because it wasn’t going anywhere. From then on, she bounced back and forth between jobs, hardly finding anything that lasted more than a year or paid her for her experience, qualifications, and hard work. That and she never got the right benefits. She moved two hours away at the beginning of October for a better paying job with benefits.

My sister is five years older than I am and moved out of the house a few years ago. She lives about an hour and a half away now and has a boyfriend in the Marines. She’s probably going to marry this guy. Right now she’s attending college and working at… Lowe’s, I think?

My dad, who had heart surgery earlier this year, is back at his job and probably still doesn’t like it.

I’m taking a course at the local vocational school, hoping to get several certificates and earn 30 college credit hours. Then I want to get a job and/or finish getting my Associates. The work isn’t very difficult, but I still have to wonder whether or not I can be successful at this in the future. I’ve still yet to truly figure out if going into computer maintenance/networking/programming is what I really want to do with my life, or if I can even do it.

Well, that turned out to be more of a summary of some parts of my life. Oh well.

I may continue this in the future. Or not.

  1. My only suggestion would be to find more creative titles for your future blog posts, such that we don’t end up with a million “alar update~”s that are like just so many “kero check~”s. ;)

As for whether or not your blog is interesting to people, that’s entirely up to you. There are plenty of blogs out there for you to get a good sense of what works and what doesn’t from reading, and you used to read my anime blog back when I had one. Not to pat myself on the back or anything, but I made good entires.

I know the subject matter’s quite different (anime = fun, life = not so much) but don’t keep yourself from enjoying the writing of these blog entries. I think that if you do a good job of writing them, you’ll be happier after posting, and be more inclined to enjoy posting the next one, etc…

And if you put your heart into writing something fun, I’m sure it’ll be interesting to any of this site’s members/readers/visitors.

  2. We’re gonna have a million alar update~s. BELIEVE IT!

This was really a sort of introductory type of post, I suppose. My other blogs may talk more about how I’m feeling and what is pissing me off or making me laugh at the time, but I tend to post most of that stuff in the forums as links.

    I’ll definitely keep writing.

    LOVE AND PEACE!
