I don’t see why I had to be the one with the broken leg, or why any of us had to be disabled thusly. Granted, broken limbs never stop anyone in an anime, but what assurance do I have that you aren’t just going to make my character a total cripple if she tries to ignore it?

No assurance at all, save that I’m a good GM and generally don’t try to make RPGs shit for the players. The purpose of the broken leg is more or less a point of lost pride on Tata’s end and possible humor on Yaiba’s end. Beating you down to the point of structural damage … I don’t know. It’s just the way he rolled that one time, I suppose. It’s not a big deal.
